On April 29th, Urban Dance Academy made history by being selected as the official representative of urban dance during Tunisia’s national World Dance Day celebrations.
Held as part of the global observance of UNESCO’s International Dance Day, this event brought together top dance schools across Tunisia — each chosen for their excellence in a specific dance style. While others showcased ballet, contemporary, and traditional forms, Urban Dance Academy proudly took the stage for urban dance.
A National Stage for Urban Culture
Being chosen as Tunisia’s urban dance representative was not just an honor — it was a validation of our mission. For years, we’ve worked to elevate the profile of street dance styles such as hip-hop, popping, and breakdance within Tunisia’s cultural landscape.
This event marked a powerful moment where urban dance stood shoulder to shoulder with other established genres, proving its artistic value, its discipline, and its connection to youth culture.
Unforgettable Performances
Our dancers delivered a dynamic, high-energy show that celebrated the spirit of unity, creativity, and expression — values that lie at the core of our academy. The crowd’s reaction, the applause, and the national attention were more than we could have dreamed of.
“Representing urban dance on such a stage is a milestone for our academy and for Tunisia’s entire street dance community,” said our director. “We danced not only with our bodies but with our hearts.”

Thank You, Tunisia
We’re incredibly grateful to the organizers, fellow dance schools, and the audience who showed love and support. This moment motivates us to keep growing, sharing, and pushing the boundaries of what dance can achieve.
Stay tuned — this is just the beginning.
